AADC STUDENT DESIGN MENTORSHIP
The Adelaide Advertising and Design Club initiate and support a wide variety of educational programs, exhibitions, publications, social events and other industry networking opportunities. The mentorship provided students with an opportunity to be mentored by a design professional to create an idea for the new season of merchandise for the Port Adelaide Football Club. I was matched with Roger Keynes, and designed a mock up of merchandise to fit the design brief in 2014. This was presented at a final event where the judges selected the winner. Unfortunately, I did not win, however this program helped developed my design skills and knowledge, as well as provide me with a lifelong mentor.
My designs are below. I was inspired by emerging fashion trends within the hardcore music scene at the time. Many bands were experimenting with tie dye, and I felt that these designs represented a modern take on this.
